 A new voice in jazz has arrived! Using a unique combination of Bebop, Hip-Hop and R&B, JEFF ROBINSON breathes new life into the jazz vocal tradition. Instead of rehashing old standards, Jeff explores life and love with original compositions that blend classic song writing with the harsh realities of the 90’s.

Heralding from the streets of Brooklyn, Jeff draws heavily from his experience growing up in that multi-ethnic environment. From a very early age, he was exposed to jazz, R&B, reggae and Latin music. These musical influences can be heard in his instruments, whether he’s scatting melodically over a hip-hop jazz-groove or crooning an R&B ballad.

Jeff Robinson’s debut release, “Any Shade of Blue”, incorporates the expertise of straight ahead jazz artists like the B-Sharp Jazz Quartet, New Adult Contemporary artists like Marc Antoine, and Acid Jazz groups like the Solar System. All of these elements combine to create a powerful new sound through which the musical stories in Jeff’s world can be told.
